Farfallino Italian Restaurant
BLACK DIAMOND HOTEL, VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS
The project at Fafallino, a prestigious Italian restaurant, was a sophisticated endeavor designed to reflect the grandiosity of the ancient Roman Empire. The architectural vision required us to craft elements that seamlessly blended with classical Roman design principles. To achieve this, we meticulously cladded all the columns with top quality wood sourced from Romania and Switzerland.
The wood was then sprayed with high-grade PU (polyurethane) paint from Italy, providing both durability and a luxurious finish. One of the key challenges was recreating the intricate look of Roman-style columns. To meet this requirement, we employed our state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machine to groove the columns and cladding with precise, tiny strips, replicating the fine detailing typical of Roman architecture. This combination of advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship ensured that every piece reflected the elegance and style of ancient Roman ancestry.
